Chervona Kalyna Kharkiv Charitable Foundation has been operating since 2022, shortly after the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The organization was created to support families and children affected by the war, and healthcare institutions of the Kharkiv Regional Council and local communities.
Since 2022, the foundation has been providing daily hot meals to internally displaced persons (IDPs) from the Dvorichna community in the Kupiansk district of Kharkiv region—approximately 2,700 people, including 300 children. The foundation’s premises include a fully operating kitchen that prepares hot meals and side dishes every day. There is also a bakery where volunteers bake pastries and other baked goods that are distributed to IDPs under the foundation’s care.
Thanks to strong partnerships, the foundation also organizes and distributes regular humanitarian aid—food, clothing, medicines, and hygiene products—to those in need from the Dvorichna community.
Since 2022, the foundation has also been supporting displaced people from the Vovchansk community of Kharkiv region by providing hot meals and clothing on a regular basis.
The foundation works actively with children affected by war and displacement, organizing art therapy events and interactive games to help them recover emotionally and connect with peers. These activities bring joy and emotional support to children who have faced trauma and the loss of home and loved ones.
Additionally, the foundation hosts festive charity meals for children and families, offering delicious pastries, treats, and pizzas made by the foundation’s kitchen team.
Chervona Kalyna also supports Ukrainian by regularly sending hot meals, pastries, and handmade camouflage nets created by its team of dedicated volunteers.
